Sam Hutchinson has today joined Championship side Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan deal.
It is the 23-year-old’s first ever time away from Chelsea since he first arrived as a seven-year-old, and he will be looking to gain regular minutes having battled his way back to full fitness following serious injuries.
The defender was forced to retire from the game in 2010 due to a long-standing knee problem, briefly working in the Chelsea Academy, but returned to training last summer and was rewarded with a start on the last day of the 2011/12 Premier League season.
Sam initially made his Chelsea debut as a 17-year-old in 2007, appearing three more times during 2009/10.
All at Chelsea wish him well for his time with Forest, and you will be able to keep pace with his progress here on chelseafc.com.
