YOUNG BLUE MAKES ENGLAND UNDER-19 DEBUT

Chelsea Academy product John Swift was a late substitute for England Under-19s as they began a qualification tournament for the European Championships with a win.

Playing hosts Estonia in a four-team tournament, England were 3-0 victors with the final goal coming in the 83rd minute, just moments after Swift had been introduced.

The 17-year-old midfielder was part of the Chelsea side that won the FA Youth Cup last season. This was his first appearance for England Under-19s having previously played for the Under-16s and Under-17s.

Nathaniel Chalobah and Lewis Baker were originally named in the squad but have been withdrawn.

England now play Faroe Islands on Friday with their final match against Ukraine on Monday.
