Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce we will be returning to America at the end of this season to play Manchester City.
We will face the current Barclays Premier League champions at the Busch Stadium, home of the Cardinals MLB team in St Louis, on May 23 with a 7.30pm local time kick-off.
It makes for an exciting end to the campaign, which also began in America last summer when we played matches in Seattle, Philadelphia and Miami as well as New York, and presents another opportunity for our Stateside support to see the Blues in action before we travel to Asia to prepare for the 2013/14 season.
Chelsea Chief Executive Ron Gourlay is pleased we will once more be able to connect with the supporters that gave us such a fantastic reception last summer.
‘It’s an excellent opportunity for the club to be able to return to America so quickly after our successful tour there last July,’ he said.
‘The club and the players have enjoyed regularly travelling to the US and also helping to create long-term growth and sustainability of soccer in the country through our super club network.
‘We will face the strongest opposition in Manchester City and I am sure we will provide a competitive and entertaining match in St Louis.’
Tickets start at US$30 and go on sale April 2 at 10AM CST at cardinals.com/soccer or the Busch Stadium box office.
There will be a limit of eight tickets per purchase. Additional details can be found at cardinals.com/soccer.
