Rafael Benitez makes a number of changes to the side from the one which lost 2-1 to Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday, with recalls for both John Terry and Frank Lampard, the latter making his 600th appearance for the club, becoming only the third player in our history – along with Ron Harris and Peter Bonetti – to reach the milestone.
Branislav Ivanovic moves out to right-back, with Cesar Azpilicueta dropping down to the bench, while both David Luiz – making his 100th Chelsea appearance – and Ryan Bertrand, retain their places in the team.
In midfield, Lampard starts alongside Ramires, with John Mikel Obi making way, while Fernando Torres, a late substitute on Sunday, starts in attack.
Fulham, meanwhile, are shorn of the services of two former Chelsea players, with Damien Duff missing the game through injury, while Steve Sidwell is suspended.
Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation:
Substitutes: 22.Turnbull (GK), 28.Azpilicueta, 57.Ake, 12.Mikel, 11.Oscar, 30.Benayoun, 29.Ba.
