Chelsea Football Club and Sevilla Fútbol Club have reached an agreement for the season-long loan of Marko Marin, subject to the completion of legal documentation and a medical.
The German international arrived at Chelsea last summer from Werder Bremen, but after some impressive displays on tour in America, in which he grabbed his first Chelsea goal on his debut against Seattle Sounders, a hamstring injury meant he had to wait until late September for a competitive bow.
His first league start came in January in the 1-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers, with a first competitive goal following in February’s 4-1 win over Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge. In total during 2012/13, Marin, who is 24, appeared 16 times in our colours.
Sevilla finished ninth in last season’s La Liga table. You will be able to monitor Marko’s progress during the campaign here on the official Chelsea website.
