IT'S LAMPARD'S GOAL AT SUNDERLAND

The Chelsea goal scored at Sunderland in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night is credited to Frank Lampard.

It was reported in sections of the media as an own goal by Lee Cattermole but the Football League has informed Chelsea FC that the referee on the night, Anthony Taylor, confirmed the goal as scored by Lampard.

He met Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross in the first minute of the second half to give his side the lead but Sunderland were 2-1 winners after extra time.

Lampard’s all-time Chelsea record goals total now stands at 209.
