Rafael Benitez makes five changes to the side which beat Brentford 4-0 at the weekend.

Across the back-four both Cesar Azpilicueta and Ryan Bertrand come in for Branislav Ivanovic and Ashley Cole, while in midfield, Frank Lampard, who has been given a rest, and David Luiz, who starts on the bench, are replaced by the returning John Mikel Obi and Ramires.

With Demba Ba unavailable for the Europa League, Fernando Torres, who played no part in the win over Brentford, leads the line.
