Chelsea have touched down in Moscow ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League quarter-final second leg against Rubin Kazan.
Going into the game with a 3-1 advantage from the first leg, Rafael Benitez has a 19-man squad to select from.
Defensive duo Gary Cahill and Ashley Cole have remained in the UK as they continue their rehabilitation from injury.
Cahill underwent a minor meniscus operation on the day of our Barclays Premier League game at Southampton. He hurt his knee when he landed awkwardly in last month’s 2-0 win against West Ham United.
Cole, meanwhile, is still recovering from a hamstring problem picked up in the 1-0 FA Cup win over Manchester United.
Ryan Bertrand has also stayed at home having missed the last couple of days of training with a virus, reducing the options at the back available to Benitez.
Demba Ba, who was forced off at half-time in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Sunderland after sustaining an ankle injury, is ineligible to play for us in the competition having represented Newcastle United prior to his transfer, while Oriol Romeu is a long-term absentee.
Youngster Nathan Ake, however, who made his full debut in our 2-0 FA Cup win at Middlesbrough in February, has travelled.
Benitez and one of the players will address the media later today, before a training session at the Luzhniki Stadium (pictured).
