Ticket sales begin today (Thursday) for Chelsea Football Club’s first ever match in Indonesia, part of the team’s 2013 Here to Play, Here to Stay tour.
The game will take place on 25 July at Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta, with a strong Chelsea FC side taking on the BNI Indonesia All-Stars.
With Indonesia the home to one of the club’s largest and most passionate fan-bases, with more than two million Chelsea Facebook likes, the tickets are expected to be in great demand. Kick-off in the Indonesian capital is 8.30pm (2.30pm in the UK).
‘The time is right for Chelsea to play in Indonesia,’ said Chelsea Chief Executive Ron Gourlay. ‘It will be the first time in the country for many of our players and we really are looking forward to it.
‘It will be the third and final game during July’s visit to Asia, and we will bring the strongest squad we have available.’
Freshly-appointed manager Jose Mourinho said: ‘I went to South Korea with Chelsea in 2005; I also went to Asia with Madrid and Inter, so I know Asia is special.
‘It is a place that, wherever you go, you feel the passion for football and for the players. It is a fantastic place to go and that is not to promote football because they do not need football to be promoted there! It is to promote the club. To be a big club in Europe you need to take care of the big fanbase that is growing in Asia.
‘We will be tired with the work we are doing to prepare for the new season but we must show a big effort to give the fans what they are waiting for. They want performance, good matches, goals and spectacle, and we will try to give them that.’

BNI are providing their customers with the opportunity to choose their favourite player to be part of the BNI Indonesia All-Stars side taking on Chelsea FC. This can be done by logging in to BNI’s website (www.bni.co.id) and entering the account number or card number, and then selecting the player. Each customer will be able to input one player name.
Ticket sales for the match begin today at 12 noon at Indotix outlets and BNI Galleries. See below for locations. Tickets are divided into six price categories:
- VVIP: Rp 3.500.000,-
- West VIP: Rp 2.000.000,-
- East VIP: Rp 1.500.000,-
- Category 1: Rp 750.000,-
- Category 2: Rp 300.000,-
- Category 3: Rp 150.000,-
On purchase, a ticket voucher will be received which can be exchanged for the match ticket from seven days before the match. The exchange can be done at any Indotix outlet.

All BNI customers can enjoy a 25% discount on tickets for the match from today to 26 June.From 27 June to 10 July, BNI customers can enjoy a 15% discount on tickets for the match.
