The Under-21s kick off their competitive campaign against Tottenham at Aldershot on Friday, and admission to the EBB Stadium at the Recreation Ground will be free for all supporters.
The game comes just three days after the final friendly for Dermot Drummy’s second string, which is away at Hendon FC this evening.
Drummy is expected to field several well-known players tonight, including an opportunity for Chelsea fans to take a look at Nigerian Kenneth Omeruo, who impressed in the African Cup of Nations and Confederations Cup, as well as Josh McEachran and Nathaniel Chalobah, who have not joined the first team squad in America.
Also on the Chelsea teamsheet, with Drummy resting some players ahead of Friday’s game, will be former Blues Jon Harley and Jody Morris, who have both been training with the group as they prepare for the new season in search of new clubs. That game kicks off at 7.45pm at Hendon’s Earlsmead home, with tickets available on the night.
Friday night’s game at Aldershot kicks off at 7pm, with coverage also live on Chelsea TV.
