INTERNATIONAL ROUND-UP: ETO'O STARTS AS CAMEROON REACH PLAY-OFFS

A 1-0 win over Lybia ensured Cameroon topped their World Cup qualifying group, and they will now face a play-off against another group winner to determine which country progresses to Brazil 2014.

Our most recent acquisition, Samuel Eto’o, started for the home side, who sealed the win courtesy of a Aurelien Chedjou strike three minutes before half-time.

Eto’o, who could make his Chelsea debut at Everton next Saturday, played an hour before being replaced by Jacques Zoua.

Cameroon finished four points ahead of Lybia at the top of Group I and now join the likes of Nigeria, Ghana and Ivory Coast in the draw for the play-offs.
