WONDERFUL DAY FOR FOUNDATION LOTTERY WINNER

Season ticket holder Patricia Hanson and husband Peter enjoyed a day to remember last weekend as they watched our victory over Crystal Palace from a box having won the Ultimate Matchday Prize in the Chelsea Foundation Lottery.

The 60-year-old grandmother has been a Chelsea fan for more than 25 years and watched the 2-1 win over our London rivals in style with a three-course meal and complimentary drinks before kick-off, as well as VIP hospitality treatment throughout the game.

Originally from Wales, Patricia has lived in Essex for the past 50 years and has two daughters and three grandchildren with one of her grandchildren, Tyler, a mascot for the Blues during a game against Blackburn Rovers in 2009.

Patricia has been a season ticket holder since 2000 and as well as the VIP matchday experience she also received a Chelsea shirt signed by the current first team squad, while prior to kick off she also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of Stamford Bridge.

‘We had an absolutely wonderful day, being taken in to the press room and going down the tunnel prior to kick off was just awesome,’ she said.

‘I have only been in the Chelsea Foundation Lottery for 18 months but what a fantastic prize to win. Money is nice to win but this was something else you can’t imagine.

‘To watch the game from the box was something we had never experienced. The food was great and the company even better. Thanks for a great day.’

Launched in May 2011, the Lottery is dedicated to raising money for the Chelsea Foundation. All funds raised go towards our award-winning community and charity programmes, while giving our fans a closer link to the club and the chance to win some amazing cash prizes and exclusive Chelsea Football Club experiences like Patricia’s.
