If selected for tonight’s game against Paris Saint-Germain, Frank Lampard will make his 100th Champions League appearance for the Blues, and in a clip which can be viewed above (subject to registration) the midfielder speaks to Chelsea TV about his achievement.

‘There have been a lot of great nights in there and some not so good, but it’s been a great experience,’ Lampard reflects.

‘The Champions League is the epitome of European football. It’s the competition we all want to play in, to win and to play 100 games is brilliant.’

Lampard also praises Petr Cech, who will make his 100th European appearance for the club should he play in the Parc des Princes tonight.

‘He’s been fantastic, you forget how long he’s been here and how many games he’s played here as our number 1,’ says Lampard.

‘He’s been absolutely brilliant, one of the best in the world for a long period of time consistency wise.’

Former Chelsea midfielders Pat Nevin and Jody Morris will be the studio guests for Matchnight Live, tonight at 6.30pm on Chelsea TV, where you can see the interview in full.
