HAZARD WINS FAN VOTE

Eden Hazard has been named the FTBpro PFA Premier League Fan Player of the Month for March.

The award comes following Hazard’s impressive performances for Chelsea throughout the last month in which he scored two goals and contributed two assists to keep Chelsea in the mix for the Premier League title.

Hazard set up two goals for teammate Andre Schurrle in the 3-1 win over west London neighbours Fulham and then followed that up with eye-catching displays against both Tottenham and Arsenal, scoring from the penalty spot in both games to take his total number of goals for the campaign so far to 14, helping ensure the Blues have taken more points on home soil this season than any other club – 44 from a possible 48.

Thank you to all Chelsea fans who voted for Hazard, who was delighted to receive the award. ‘It is a huge honour to be recognised by the supporters for my form,’ said the 23-year-old. ‘It makes me very proud and very happy to be in a team like Chelsea and I hope we can keep going and be successful at the end of the season.’

The FTBpro PFA Fan Player of the Month awards are designed to give a strong voice to the supporters who are the lifeblood of the game. The awards are endorsed by the players and supported by the clubs.

One lucky voter will present the Belgian with his prize at a forthcoming game at Stamford Bridge.
