The official Chelsea website continues our look back at the season through pictures, today focusing on March, a month that began so well but ended in disappointment…
Andre Schurrle was the hero at Craven Cottage, scoring a hat-trick in our 3-1 win over Fulham. Here, the German celebrates his third goal.
A week later we won another London derby, this time at home to Tottenham. Samuel Eto’o opened the scoring after pouncing on a Jan Vertonghen mistake.
Minutes later Younes Kaboul was sent off for bringing down Eto’o in the penalty area. Eden Hazard made it 2-0 from the spot before Demba Ba came off the bench to net a brace.
Oscar challenges for the ball during our 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa, a game in which both Willian and Ramires were sent off.
Didier Drogba salutes the Chelsea fans on his return to Stamford Bridge with Galatasaray in the Champions League. Samuel Eto’o and Gary Cahill were on target as we ran out 2-0 winners on the night and 3-1 on aggregate.
When Arsenal came to Stamford Bridge they were blown away inside the opening part of the game. Eden Hazard’s penalty made it 3-0, with the Blues going on to score three more times in a 6-0 romp.
Oscar and Fernando Torres prepare to get the game back underway after we fell behind at Crystal Palace. Unfortunately we were unable to find an equaliser late on as we fell to a 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park.
