Thorgan Hazard has today (Saturday) joined German side Borussia Monchengladbach on a season-long loan.
Hazard, the 21-year-old younger brother of Eden, will continue his impressive development with the Bundesliga club, who finished sixth in the league last season.
A creative and attacking midfielder, Thorgan followed Eden to Chelsea in the summer of 2012 from French club Lens, before joining Zulte Waregem on loan in his native Belgium.
In two seasons there, he appeared regularly in both the league and Europa League, earned a first international cap and was recognised with the Golden Shoe for the best player in the Belgian league in January this year. He was on the standby list for Belgium’s World Cup squad this summer.
