The Manchester City, Chelsea and Wolfsburg attackers top the Nerazzurri’s wishlist, but it will not be easy to lure any of them away from their current club
Roberto Mancini has made it clear that Inter are keen to sign one of Stevan Jovetic, Ivan Perisic or Mohamed Salah as they aim to strengthen their attack.
The Giuseppe Meazza side only have two accomplished out-and-out attackers in their squad with Rodrigo Palacio and Mauro Icardi – and Mancini is hopeful they will soon bring in another forward.
“We really need an attacker because we only have two players up front at the moment,” Mancini told Corriere dello Sport.
“Perisic is a Wolfsburg player for now and it is difficult to say what will happen. But he certainly has a lot of quality and can play in several positions in attack.
“I already tried to sign Jovetic in my last season with Manchester City, but he arrived when I was gone. He can play as a focal point or as a support striker, but could also feature on the wings.
“Salah is another player who could play on the wings and as a second striker.
“But Jovetic is still with City, while Salah is somewhere halfway between Chelsea and Fiorentina…”
Salah’s future has caused a furore in Serie A in recent weeks, with Fiorentina launching legal action to resolve his future after he allegedly refused to accept a permanent move .
Perisic, meanwhile, has been linked with a switch to Italy for some time after impressing for Wolfsburg, while Manchester City’s Jovetic remains a target for both Inter and AC Milan.
