The Super Lig side have revealed that the former Germany international is set to complete his transfer to Turkey on Tuesday – subject to a medical
Trabzonspor sporting director Suleyman Hurma has confirmed that the club are on the verge of signing Marko Marin from Chelsea.
The German winger joined the Blues from Werder Bremen in 2012 but has spent the past two years out on loan, at Sevilla, Fiorentina and, most recently, Anderlecht.
Hurma did not disclose the exact nature of the agreement Trabozonspor have reached with Chelsea but it is believed that Marin will spend the 2015-16 season with the Super Lig side.
“He will arrive in Trabzon tonight [Monday] and undergo a medical tomorrow before completing his transfer,” he told Lig Tv.
Chelsea paid Bremen approximately £6 million (€8m) for Marin, who penned a five-year contract with the Premier League outfit.
However, he has long been deemed surplus to requirements and has only slipped further down the pecking order following last week’s arrival of fellow winger Pedro from Barcelona.
