?Chelsea’s promising but underplayed rising star Ruben Loftus-Cheek is being touted for a move away this summer, prompting a battle between two of the Premier League’s latest additions Brighton and Newcastle.

In a report by ?101 Great Goals, the young English midfielder is said to be contracted to stay at Stamford Bridge until 2021.

However, both Brighton and Newcastle are presenting an opportunity for Loftus-Cheek to gain some much needed regular game time at the highest level, either permanently or a loan deal.

Like many of his fellow youngsters at Chelsea, the 21-year-old has not made consistent appearances for Antonio Conte’s Blues, and continues to be be somewhat maligned at Stamford Bridge.

Last season, he only played a total of 31 Premier League minutes for Chelsea, and featured during just 11 matches in all competitions.

It can be assumed that both Brighton and Newcastle would rectify this frustrating situation for Loftus-Cheek, giving him a chance to shine regularly in the Premier League, as both Rafa Benitez and Chris Hughton look to bolster their respective squads ahead of what is to be a testing season.

As of yet, it’s unclear whether his eventual destination will be either a stay on sidelines at his current club, or at the very least, a semi-regular starting place at St James’ Park or the AmEX Arena.
