Picking the Best Potential Chelsea Lineup to Face West Brom on Saturday

?Chelsea head to the Hawthorns this Saturday to face a West Brom side, who are in search of just their third win of the Premier League season.

The stadium has become a happy hunting ground for the Blues, who have enjoyed recent glory in the neighbourhood after securing their sixth Premier League title on the Baggies turf back in May.

Here is how manager Antonio Conte could line up his Chelsea side on Saturday afternoon.

  • Courtois

?Thibaut Courtois will continue between the posts for Chelsea as they look to record back-to-back clean sheets away from home in the league.

  • Azpilicueta

  • Christensen

  • Cahill

Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill look to continue in their usual spots in Chelsea’s defence, despite Cahill having to pull out England’s game against Brazil on Tuesday. The Chelsea captain is a slight doubt but after being rested during the week, but should start on Saturday.

David Luiz’s relationship with Conte is still in doubt and youngster Andreas Christensen, who scored for Denmark to send them to the World Cup next year, looks likely to retain his role where he managed to keep a clean sheet against Manchester United prior to the international break.?

?The Blues have looked consistently solid with a three man midfield in the middle of the park and it looks as though they could stick with the system that beat Manchester United two weeks ago.

Marcos Alonso and Davide Zappacosta will continue in the wide roles with Victor Moses still out following his hamstring injury against Crystal Palace.

Cesc Fabregas and N’Golo Kante will occupy the central roles, alongside Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is expected to recover from a knock in time for the trip to West Brom.

  • Morata

  • Hazard

Alvaro Morata scored the winner in the 1-0 win over United before the international break and looks to continue to be the front man for Chelsea on Saturday. He will need to put his chances away with Tony Pulis’ side looking to get a clean sheet after conceding in their past six league fixtures.

Belgian Eden Hazard should sit just behind the Spaniard as he looks to add to his tally this term after only scoring once this year.

Fellow Belgian Michy Batshuayi has good memories of the Hawthorns after scoring the all important goal back in May. However, he had to withdraw from the national side with a foot injury and is highly unlikely to see himself starting.
