?Napoli attacker Dries Mertens has taken to Instagram to crack some hilariously crude banter towards Belgium teammate Romelu Lukaku. The Manchester United striker scored a first half brace against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday night, and a well timed photo has made it seem like he may have been slightly too grateful to Mertens and Eden Hazard for assisting his goals.
The game eventually ended 4-0 in the international friendly. Goals from Michy Batshuayi and Kevin de Bruyne completing the rout against Saudi Arabia.
But it was Mertens’ reaction on Wednesday that has been the talking point following the game – and the Napoli man has shown some serious balls to post it onto his Instagram page (yes, that was entirely intentional).
Lukaku, pictured on his knees in front of Mertens and Hazard after scoring, gets caught by the camera rather awkwardly near the pair’s groin regions. And it really seems like Mertens is enjoying the moment, it must be said.
Now, we all know that the trio aren’t really exhibitionists – if they were it would’ve literally been revealed a long time ago, much to the displeasure of most of us.
However, the joke is pretty great from Mertens; although we’re not one hundred percent sure on where Lukaku stands (or kneels) on the situation…
Wait, yes we do – he doesn’t seem too happy to be honest:
