9 Clubs Eden Hazard Has Scored Against Most as He Reaches Century of Chelsea Goals

Eden Hazard scored his 100th and 101st goals for Chelsea on Boxing Day, netting both of his team’s goals in a 2-1 Premier League win over Watford.

The Belgian is now the 10th highest goalscorer in Chelsea history after moving into three figures alongside the likes of Jimmy Greaves (132), Peter Osgood (150), Kerry Dixon (193) and Frank Lampard (211) in the all-time club list.

Here’s a look at which teams Hazard has scored against most often in a Chelsea shirt…and you cannot criticise him for hiding in big games and only scoring against lesser opponents!

9. Tottenham Hotspur (5 goals)

Hazard scored in three consecutive Premier League meetings with London rivals Spurs between 2014 and 2015.

He also scored a very famous equaliser against them in May 2016 that handed the title to Leicester, which actually remains his last in this fixture.

8. Manchester United (5 goals)

Hazard’s fifth and most recent goal against Manchester United came in the 2018 FA Cup final, winning the trophy for Chelsea.

The Belgian converted from the penalty spot after being upended by United defender Phil Jones for the only goal of the game at Wembley.

7. Cardiff City (5 goals)

Cardiff are a team that Hazard clearly enjoys playing against as he has found the net against them on five occasions in only three games – and he even drew a blank in one of those.

A hat-trick against the Bluebirds at Stamford Bridge earlier this season added to a brace he managed against the Welsh side during their last Premier League spell in 2013/14.

6. Arsenal (5 goals)

One of Hazard’s best ever goals in a Chelsea shirt remains his solo effort against Arsenal in February 2017 as the Blues, then managed by Antonio Conte, were surging towards the title.

The player had previously scored in a famous 6-0 win over the Gunners back in the 2013/14 season in what was Arsene Wenger’s 1,000th game in charge of Arsenal.

5. Southampton (6 goals)

Hazard has been a regular goalscorer against Southampton over the last couple of years, managing to find the net in four of his last five appearances against the Saints.

The most recent of those came earlier this season when he scored in a 3-0 Chelsea win at St Mary’s. He also assisted one of the other goals in that game.

4. Liverpool (6 goals)

Hazard’s individual brilliance proved to be the difference between Chelsea and Liverpool in the third round of the Carabao Cup earlier this season, dumping the Reds out of the competition.

Hazard scored against Liverpool again three days later, this time in the Premier League. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with only two other teams taking points off the Reds this season.

3. West Bromwich Albion (7 goals)

West Brom found themselves on the sharp edge of the Hazard sword seven times in 11 games prior to their relegation from the Premier League last season.

The Belgian first netted against the Baggies the first time he faced them back in 2012, but ended up on the losing side. He scored braces against them home and away last season.

2. Newcastle United (7 goals)

Newcastle were the opponents when Hazard scored his first ever Premier League hat-trick, a 3-0 Chelsea win over the Magpies at Stamford Bridge in February 2014.

More recently, the former Lille star netted a brace against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge last season, and got another against them at St James’ Park earlier this season. 

1. Bournemouth (7 goals)

Hazard has scored regularly against Bournemouth since the Cherries were promoted to the Premier League in 2015, netting six times in the league and once in the Carabao Cup.

Having already scored in a league victory earlier this season, Hazard was also the man who fired Chelsea into the last four of the Carabao Cup with a late quarter final winner.
