Twitter Really, Really Enjoys Liverpool Getting Knocked Out the FA Cup & Losing Back-to-Back Games

Possible invincibles, they said.

Liverpool have now lost three of their last four games across all competitions, with Jürgen Klopp’s side now missing out on a potential treble this season.

Following in the footsteps of Atlético Madrid and Watford, it was Chelsea’s turn to get a win over Liverpool this season to book their place in the quarter finals of the FA Cup, thanks to goals from Willian and Ross Barkley.

The Blues only opened the scoring thanks to a howler from back-up goalkeeper Adrian, and while Liverpool are on course to walk to the league title, that didn’t stop fans on social media from having their fun during Tuesday’s match against Chelsea.

Liverpool’s defence was all at sea in the second half and Chelsea doubled their lead through Barkley, ending any hopes Klopp’s side had over a possible domestic double.

In what’s otherwise been a perfect season, this is still certainly a rough patch for the club, so it’s no surprise to see opposition fans take every chance they get to gloat at Liverpool’s expense.

This Liverpool team are possibly the greatest team ever to grace the Premier League they said….maybe the greatest team ever…better then treble winning United…Better than Arsenal Invincibles…????
