There was still plenty of football left to play after our equaliser and the tables seemed to have turned back in Chelsea’s favour, although it was now City who posed a threat on the counter, the newly-introduced Jayden Braaf firing against the post from distance.
And it was on the counter where City did the damage. A rapid move up field needed a little bit of luck but ended with Cole Palmer volleying into an empty net at the back post.
Peart-Harris had the chance to send the tie to penalties in the dying moments but sent a header inches wide of the post as City sealed victory and the 2019/20 Youth Cup title.
