The Blues were last up on Friday night getting our FA Cup campaign off to a great start with a big 5-0 victory over London City Lionesses with goals from Niamh Charles, Jess Carter, Melanie Leupolz and a double from Drew Spence.

Charles opened the scoring just after the 20-minute mark with an assist from Hannah Blundell. Carter doubled our advantage just before the half-hour mark, volleying home a corner from Charles. Just three minutes later, Leupolz struck the Blues’ third of the night into the top corner to end the first half at 3-0.

In the second half, we added a fourth with Charles picking out Spence who tapped home from close range. The No.24 then grabbed her second of the evening with substitute Bethany England providing the assist as Spence guided a first-time finish into the bottom corner to make it five, taking the Blues comfortably into the fifth round of the Women’s FA Cup.
