Jorginho on that winning feeling, Leeds’ man-marking and his fitness

It crowned a helter-skelter encounter between two old rivals and kept us in touch with Manchester City and Liverpool, who both also needed penalties to secure narrow victories yesterday.

‘It was very important to win after our last two games,’ said Jorginho.

‘Leeds are a tough opponent, but in the end we deserved the win. This last-minute goal is just amazing, especially in your own stadium. It feels so good.

‘It is exhausting playing Leeds. It is a really difficult game for any team, especially because they play once a week and that makes it easier for them to prepare for every game and be able to run the whole pitch man for man.

‘We can always give more,’ he added when asked about Chelsea’s performance in contrast to West Ham and Zenit.

‘If we think we gave an extra 10 per cent then we have no more to improve on, and that is not the mentality we have here. We always need to want to improve and do more, but we did our job, we needed these three points and we got them. On to the next.’
