Hayes was asked how this match will differ to our last encounter in the first half of the season.
‘They’ve got all their players back, that’s a starting point. They have confidence, they are playing well and scoring goals, keeping clean sheets. There are two confident teams playing on Sunday as opposed to the first time around.’
With only a few points between the top teams in the league, and the competition well and truly heating up, the significance of taking the three points after each match is more important than ever.
‘The fact is, it’s been such a strange season and no one really knows which way it’s going to go,’ noted Hayes.
‘What I do know is that that the product is getting better and to think with Arsenal, Man United, Chelsea versus Man City, what brilliant games for everybody to watch this weekend.
‘It means everybody is driving the sport to where it needs to be, it’s just another weekend in what has been another brilliant campaign in the WSL. It’s exciting, but it is another game.’
