Chelsea TV were in Istanbul early enough ahead of this week’s Champions League match to meet up with Didier Drogba in his new home city.
An extensive interview show Drogba – Life After Chelsea will be broadcast for the first time on the channel on Friday 7 March at 6.45pm, followed by Best Of Drogba featuring the special goals from his time in London.
In a clip from the interview which can be viewed above (subject to registration), our all-time highest European goalscorer, who now leads the Galatasaray attack, talks about his new challenge of trying to score past long-time team-mates John Terry and Petr Cech.
A longer extract, in which Drogba describes his emotions when the knockout stage draw was made and who he spoke to at Chelsea after learning of the tie, can be viewed now via the channel’s online access. It will also be broadcast tonight in Blues News on Sky Digital channel 421.
